Last year, 29 March 2008, the Philippines joined countries around the world in participation of Earth Hour. Now, 28th of March 2009, marks the third year of Earth Hour- an event that will fuel awareness on climate change and prove that when the people of the world work together, they can make a difference in the fight against global warming. Last year, Earth Hour took place from 8 to 9 in the evening on a Saturday night. A total of almost 80MW(MegaWatts) was saves all around the world, approximately equivalent to shutting down one fuel power plant. Now, Earth Hour will happen at 8:30 - 9:30 PM.

This year has seen the growth of supporters and over 70 countries will be joining in this spectacular display of love for Mother Earth. Cast your vote now by switching your lights off at 8:30-9:30PM! Vote Yes to Mother Earth!
